JUNIOR CHOIR (for kids in Years 1 & 2)

Junior Choir is on Wednesday mornings 8am in the library for 40 minutes.

(this gives them time to go and see friends and have a short play before the final morning bell)

Junior Choir consists of fun vocal, brain and body warm ups and games, then we learn simple, short songs, learning by rote and repetion, it's always fun to get them using their voices and exploring different songs and the joy of singing with others. Singing in a choir also builds so many other skills and for these little ones its the confidence to stand in front of an audience and sing with the safety of others.

There are opportunities to perform at school assemblies, special events and school events throughout the year.

SENIOR CHOIR (for kids in Years 3 -6)

Senior Choir is on Friday mornings 8am in the school hall for 45 minutes.

Senior Choir always starts with vocal, brain and body warm ups before we start working on songs. The Senior Choir learn a range of songs including repertoire for the Festival of Children's Music, a concert we have been involved in for many years which is at The Concourse Theatre, Chatswood in Term 4. They give us 10-12 songs to learn through the year and we add this to our own song list. These songs challenge our Senior Choir because they have to learn to sing in parts which is a valuable and sometimes tricky skill for young voices. Senior Choir also have other performance opportunities through the year including school assemblies, school events and more.

Fees: Choir is $78 a term and is charged at the beginning of each term. Choir fees includes weekly choir sessions during term, any performances* or additional rehearsals outside of the regular mornings, use of songs, music and materials provided by Jim Jam Music in conjunction with the APS Music program. Creative Kids vouchers can be used towards Choir fees please enter details on the Registration Form.

*Please note: Senior Choir also participate in The Festival of Children's Music each year. This event is organised by the Department of Education and therefore the school. There are some participation costs charged for this event which will be send directly from the school.
