Private Singing Lessons
Private singing lessons at Jim Jam Music can offer many benefits for children who are interested in singing, and we always aim to make them fun and engaging;
Individualized attention: With private lessons, your child’s teacher can focus solely on the needs of the child. The teacher can assess the child’s strengths and weaknesses, and create a customized lesson plan that will help the child improve.
Improved vocal technique: we can help your child develop better vocal technique, which can help prevent strain and injury to their voice. Each lesson starts with tailored vocal warm ups to work on breathing, pitch control, dynamics and much more. We make these lots of fun with games and props.
Increased confidence: Singing in front of others can be nerve-wracking, especially for children. Private lessons can help children feel more comfortable and confident with their singing abilities. As they improve, they may also become more willing to perform in front of others.
Greater musical knowledge: In addition to vocal technique, private lessons can help children learn more about music theory, ear training, and sight reading. These skills can be applied to any instrument or style of music, not just singing.

Our Private Singing lessons at Jim Jam Music are always a collaboration between the teacher and student. We will always discuss song options, often working on songs chosen by the child (of course if we deem them age-appropriate) with the vocal teacher also challenging the student with songs they may not know or think they will like.
Students will be given opportunities to perform at local events throughout the year and our end of your ‘Music Jam’ held in November.
