Jim Jam Music Studios is a local business in the Upper North Shore Est 2007. We are a dynamic, fun-loving team and we are expanding! Recently we have had many enquiries for our mobile music classes and we are looking for a reliable, and punctual individual to join us.
About You
We are looking for a Jim Jam Music extraordinaire! We are searching for someone who is super fun and energetic and loves working with our youngest students! If you have a passion for music and early childhood education, have a zest for life and the performing arts we would love to meet you. The role can work around someone studying, a semi-professional musician or performer, or a stay-at-home parent.
You will need to have some basic music and/or dance training:
Can count and clap 4 beats in a bar to music
Can hold a tune and be confident singing with kids
Can pick up, retain and execute simple movement
It is an advantage if you are able to play a musical instrument or have music or education qualifications but not essential.
If your application proceeds to the next level, you will need to provide a sample video of your vocal ability. 3 songs will be provided for you to learn.
The Role
This is a casual role with 1-2 mornings/afternoons available per week. We can work around your schedule. You will travel to childcare centre’s on the Upper North Shore and run half hour sessions with groups of young children (6 months - 6 years old). We will provide paid training, lesson plans, musical instruments and equipment needed, and playlists for you to be confident in presenting lessons to children of all personalities and the staff at the centres you will work with.
If you have the experience there may also be the opportunity to work with older groups aged 5-12 in our Music in Schools Program.
