Sing Dance Play!
SDP is an exciting afterschool program for creative kids aged 5-12 who love to explore a variety of artistic activities, not just one! Each week, children will dive into a mix of singing, dancing, acting, instrument play (like ukuleles and drums), drama, and much more. Kids will explore musical genres like Musical Theatre, Pop, Folk, Jazz and of course Classical Music.
Children will discover the power of their voice through engaging vocal warm-ups, fun exercises, and the use of Solfege to improve pitch and musicality. They’ll have the opportunity to sing a variety of song genres, including Musical Theatre, Pop, Folk, and Jazz, broadening their appreciation for different musical styles. With an emphasis on expressive and confident singing, each session will be a joyful journey into the world of music.
In this part of the program, children will learn how to move their bodies to music, exploring dance and creative movement. They’ll be introduced to choralography (a blend of choreography and singing) to enhance their performance skills. Through playful and structured dance activities, kids will gain confidence, coordination, and an understanding of how movement can tell a story and elevate a song.
Play is all about creativity and exploration. Children will engage in drama games and exercises that boost their acting and improvisation skills, encouraging self-expression and imagination. They’ll also get hands-on experience with musical instruments like drums, percussion, and ukuleles, learning to make music as a group and experimenting with different sounds. Each Term we will work on one instrument eg. Ukulele or Drumming. Children will explore and learn the instrument while learning about music fundamentals and basic music theory and perform at the end of the term for parents.

Annual Registration Fee $50 (includes Welcome Pack - t-shirt, drink bottle, folder/music book, insurances and admin fees) Monthly Tuition is $120 ($30 per week).
This program is perfect for kids who enjoy and want to explore the different disciplines of performing arts. Whether they’re moving to music, learning to perform and sing in front of others, or creating sets for a performance, SDP offers a space for children to explore all areas of the creative arts.
Each 10-week term features a theme that keep things fresh and engaging. This theme will carry through each element of the class. Along the way, kids will build confidence, develop their communication skills, performance skills and discover new talents – all while having fun in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Sing Dance Play kids will have two main performance opportunities throughout the year, mid-year and end of year. This may be a recital, pantomime, concert or a musical.
